Ah!

As I predicted this got lost in the shuffle of my life. However, I have been doing some things that I am excited about. I began taking classes again -after taking a nearly four year hiatus after graduating from high school. So, I am officially a college student again. It is very stressful but each day I'm kind of blown away at my capabilities. (not to toot my own horn)
Anyway, a friend's birthday tomorrow and after being disappointed with card choices (and prices) I decided to make my own.

Nothing fancy but I love it. Along with that I'm giving her two books and a little broach that looks like an old fashioned telephone.

I wrapped them in tissue paper and cut strips of some scrap satin for the ribbon.

I'm so excited to give it to her! I think gift giving really brings out the best in me as far as creativity and motivation. There is not a single detail that isn't thought out and I have so much fun doing all the little projects I give myself.
Anyway, another friend just had a baby and after deserting the baby blanket I started knitting for her I had to come up with something. So, I made a little teddy bear for her. I never really got to get a good picture of it so I apologize.

Thats about all!

hoorah!

I'm really excited about the things I have accomplished this week. The first and most exciting for me is these cute little sprouts that I found in the haphazard garden this morning.

And these ones that got unburied somehow. I think they look like green guts.

I am seriously the laziest gardener ever. I just dug a bunch of randomly placed holes and threw the seeds in. There are no rows or labels or order. I kind of like the idea of veggies growing all over the place with no sense. Anyway, I honestly didn't think anything was going to come of it and then these little guys showed up. Theres a few other little budding things. I'm not totally sure if they are weeds or vegetables yet. I just have to wait and see!

Next is I got the embroidery done for a set of pillows I have wanted to make for my mother. I sat down and did some sketches and Michael scanned them and made them bigger for me.

Then, I transferred them onto some fabric and after a few days I finished with these...

I was really excited to do the high heel but looking at the finished product, I really like the boot better. I need to get some Magic Starch stuff (or whatever its called). I ironed these suckers forever and they just refused to look pretty. Oh well. Now I just have to get some pillow forms!

hoorah!

A Fresh Start

I have been having some major blockage lately. Not just with my creativity, but in all areas of my life. After having a surprisingly enlightened conversation with Michael last night at two a.m. I decided I needed to find a way to keep track of myself.
Which is why I am starting this little darling of a blog. I have so many ideas and plans but no motivation. I am hoping (crossyourfingers) that I will be able to track my ideas and progress by writing. It wouldn't kill me to start writing again either. Going back to school is right around the corner. I need to brush up on my grammar's public appearance. So, either this will be a really wonderful thing for me and will help me tremendously or, this will end up with all those other half finished projects that this is supposed to be helping me complete!

So, as of right now here are the projects in progress:
1. Sweater (with only an inch left to go, come on!)
2. Embroidered pillows
3. Summer dresses
4. Bike bag

My secret goal is to be able to get focused and organized to the point that I am able to sell the things I make. That has been my secret goal for the past three years and I'm still not there, haha! Lets see what we can make happen.
